Hosted by Laura Hawkins
The theme is Thanksgiving appetizer or dessert.
Please email your recipe to lauranhawkins@yahoo.com by Monday November 2nd so she has time to make copies for everyone. If you can make the recipe and bring it that night, that is great. If not, don't worry....come anyway!! This is a great chance to get to know people and get some fun new recipes and tips. And of course, if you don't submit a recipe, you are still welcome to come! See you there!
P.S. If you don't know Laura's address, please ask for it when you email your recipe. I don't want to post it online for safety reasons.

SUPER SATURDAY
Welcome to the
22nd Ward Relief Society Blog!
22nd Ward Relief Society Blog!
We are really excited to have a blog now! It gives us one more way to share information with each of you. Our first announcement is our Relief Society SUPER SATURDAY which is scheduled to be held on November 14th at the SUNNYRIDGE BUILDING (please make note that we are not meeting in our own building due to scheduling conflicts). All Sisters and Young Women (including girls 8 and up) are invited. Also, we want to let you know that your friends and neighbors are welcome to come! This event will begin at 9 am and we will start cleaning up at 1:30 pm. (We regret that supplies such as paint and brushes will not be available to be sent home if you do not finish your projects). We will have lunch, a couple of mini classes, and a Humanitarian Aid Project for sisters to work on throughout the day. We hope that sisters will attend this event, whether they choose to work on projects or not. This is a great opportunity for everyone to get to know each other better.
For those who are interested, a children's class will be provided for children 8 years and younger. If you would like to have your children participate, please sign up with their name and ages. Those who bring their children to this class will be asked to rotate and take turns helping in the class. Activities and a lesson will be provided for your children. Please bring a sack lunch for them (no really messy items, please!). If your children will attend this class, please make sure you sign up in advance.
How to sign up: Each project is listed in its own post. You can use the comments sections on each post to sign up or you can use the sign-up sheets by the Relief Society room on Sundays from now until Nov. 1. If you choose to sign up online, please specify the quantity of items you would like to order, and also any special notes if needed (such as which temple picture and quote you would like for the temple blocks.) Also if you sign up online, you may just use your first name and last initial, in order to maintain privacy. Please sign up for classes quickly so we can get an idea of how many supplies we need. The deadline to turn in money is November 1st. You can either pay with cash or make checks out to Heather Stites. (Some projects need to be paid to Cammi Higley. Those projects have been marked with a reminder).

Scripture Markers (First one is free)
Come and learn how to add ribbon to your scriptures so that you can mark your place in more than one spot. Multiple colors will be available for you to choose from. There is no charge to make this project! (if you would like more than one, additional scripture markers available for $.25 each, no limit.) Please sign up even for your free one so we know how many we need!
Wipey Clutch ($5.00 each: limit 3)
Temple Blocks ($2.75 each: limit 3)
These blocks are a nice addition to any home and would also be cute in a kid's room. They are a little bigger than 5X5.
Choose from one of the photos in the slide show below (they are all numbered in their titles) or email your own favorite temple photo (that YOU have taken...no copyrighted photos!) to lauranhawkins@yahoo.com. We can add one of the following quotes to the picture if you would like:
Quote A: I'm going there SOMEDAY
Quote B: I'M GOING THERE Someday
Quote C: Temple: a place where Covenants are made, Home: a place where Covenants are kept.
Quote D: Temple Name and Dedication date
Note: the font for these quotes are not how they will look on the blocks (they are much cuter)....for exact appearance, see samples in the slide show below. If you would like the quote, please indicate which letter you would like on your order. If you are ordering multiple blocks, be specific on which picture # and which quote, if any you would like for each one.
Please view the slide show to choose which picture you would like:
Photo Blocks ($2.75 each)
Similar to the temple blocks, but with pictures of your gorgeous kids and grandkids. Also a great gift idea! You can bring your own photos (5x5) to Super Saturday, or email your photos in advance to Laura Hawkins at lauranhawkins@yahoo.com. She will print the pictures on photo paper and have them ready that day for you to assemble. (For those of you who know how to format pictures, please size them at 5x5 before emailing them...this is a huge task and we appreciate any help we can get in preparing these pictures!)
Flower Clips ($2.00 each for large and $1.00 each for small) limit 12
Fabric Scrap Flower Clips/Pins ($1.50 each)
Countdown Calendar $10.00 each (Blank $9.00)
Seasonal Block Art $5.00 each
Children's Class
There will be a Children's Class for those sisters who need to bring their children (8 and younger). There will be activities planned for them as well as a less. ALL sisters who bring children will be asked to help with this class. We will have a rotation of those sisters to help throughout the day. Please bring a packed lunch for your children (no really messy items, please). When you sign up, please include your name, and then your children's names and ages so that we can plan age appropriate activities for them.
