Cauliflower Salad!

Sister Ryan served this salad at the ward B-Q and it was so delicious! Ward members requested this recipe as well as others that were served that night. If you brought a salad to the ward B-Q, we'd love to have the recipe! Just email recipes to parish@sfcn.org.

Looking for volunteers

I'm looking for 2 people to come a half hour early to the ward B-Q on the 17th. I need help to set up and also help to keep things going during the the B-Q. It is really easy and even fun...I'm just short handed. The Bishopric will be cooking the meat. The B-Q starts at 6:00 at the SF Sports Park so I would need you to come at 5:30. Anyone?

Thanks, Amber Parish

Wedding Quilt for Jon Phelps

Would you like to go in on a wedding gift for a member of our ward, Jon Phelps? You can donate money and/or time. Any money left over after purchasing material for the quilt will be given to the couple as part of their gift. To help with the quilting, show up to Mable William's house any time on July 28th. 8:00 a.m. is not too early! She will teach you to quilt if you need instruction so it's a perfect opportunity to learn.

We had Jenny Selby's quilt tied this morning before lunch and we didn't start until 10:00! Making quilts is a great excuse to chat with the great ladies in our ward. If you would like us to help you tie your quilt, gather your supplies and give Sister Lamb a call!

Message from Sister Ryan

When I was able to come stay at my Sister Ora Lee and Brother-in-law Dennis Palombo's to take care of my mother, it was a prayer answered. I had said as I prayed to Heavenly Father, 'if I am able to be close to a temple, I will try to go once a week.' I am so grateful He has made this possible.

Usually I do Endowments but June 30th I did Initiatory. It had been years since I had taken the opportunity to do so. I had forgotten the blessings that are given. It was such a wonderful remembrance and eye opening experience. My soul was spiritually awakened and fed.

Yahoo! Save money on food!

Here's a link to an order form for the church dry pack in Springville (by Walmart) for those who like to check their prices before shopping at the store. Compared to local stores- white, black and pinto beans are usually half price at the dry pack. You can walk in and buy a 25 pound bag or can them in #10 cans with missionaries to help you.
